
Jean Alspach Spencer, 62, of Gainesville, Fla., went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2009.
She was born May 23, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. Jean attended North High School and Akron and Kent State Universities. She worked at Firestone Store in Kent and as manager of a doctor's office in Gainesville, Fla.
Jean is survived by her sons, Christopher and Gregory; parents, John and Jean Alspach; brothers, John (Lee), David (Kim), Jeff (Beverly); sister, Susan (Mike); and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will take place at her family home, 3236 Sandy Lake Rd., Ravenna, OH 44266 (330-296-9865), on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at 1 p.m., Rev. Dr. Carl Fry, Pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Vermillion, will officiate. All family and old friends are welcome to come and say goodbye. The ashes will be interred at Jean's granddad, Lloyd Brackin's, resting place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Akron. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 15617 Mason Rd., Vermillion, OH 44089.
